In summer 2022, Falcone Institute launched its week-long Culinary Camp of hands-on learning led by Chef Debbie Kornberg in her beautiful professional kitchen.

Monday, July 15th through Friday, July 19th
3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
$1,250 ~ Early-bird rate of $1,050 available until May 15th!


Falcone Institute's Speech-Language Pathologist, Sierra Titone, along with our Psychoeducational Coaches (and cooking enthusiasts) co-facilitate All Culinary Camp sessions.

Chefs-in-Training develop their social pragmatics and executive functioning skills along with their kitchen skills and confidence, learning how to:

* Understand and follow a recipe *
* Prepare complete nutritious meals and desserts *
* Safely use kitchen tools and appliances *
* Collaborate toward task/goal completion *

Every session wraps up with participants sitting down to enjoy their creations.

Family Dinner: In 2023 we added a parents/family dinner at the end of the week, expanding the kids’ skill set to include table setting, flower arranging, serving, dining conversation and clean-up! This year, the family dinner will be held on Thursday (7/18) from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Culinary Campers receive a cookbook, apron, and cooking gadgets to take home and use in their own kitchens. Don't just take our word for it - all of our Summer 2022 and 2023 participants responded with a resounding "YES!" when asked if they would participate again.

Culinary Camp is open to tweens/teens ages 11 through 18. No previous cooking experience required.

NOTE:
As part of the Culinary Camp registration process, we will complete a brief phone intake to review any dietary limitations and learn more about each client’s behavioral/social/emotional gifts to ensure we support each individual as well as overall group dynamics.
