Early Learners Preschool Group

Social-Emotional Development (SED) has become quite the ‘buzz phrase’ over the last few years. Parents, caregivers, & educators are beginning to understand how Social-Emotional Development impacts children at every stage of development; from building & maintaining positive friendships to managing stress, promoting empathy, and enhancing one’s sense of self and purpose.

Falcone Institute’s Early Learners Preschool Group was developed to support both parent and child with the acquisition of these important skills. Through movement, play, and games, your child will learn skills to better support their self-management/regulation, initiate and maintain positive relationships with adults and peers, develop emotional language to express themselves clearly and effectively, facilitate self-awareness and social-awareness, and understand how to make positive social decisions.

Parents will learn how to expand their awareness of their own emotional self, how their emotional self may impact the parent-child relationship, and how to create positive and lasting parent-child connections.

Our curriculum will be facilitated by Madeline Falcone, LMFT, founder/owner of Falcone Institute, and Siera Titone, M.S., CCC-SLP, speech-language pathologist. Madeline has been incorporating social-emotional learning into her developmentally based psychoeducational/psychotherapeutic methodologies for more than 30 years. Sierra’s experience with social-emotional learning from her training as a speech therapist complements Madeline’s expertise; together, they provide a synergistic and holistic approach. Specifically, Madeline will be leading our parent-empowerment sessions, while Sierra will be working directly with the children, with both sessions occurring simultaneously.

In addition to expanding awareness for both the parent and child through these educational sessions, this group will provide parents with the opportunity to connect with other parents through open discussion and shared experiences.
